This 14 year old girl came in late with a fibrous dysplasia of the right maxilla. The tumor was massive, filling both maxilla and the nasopharynx. We resected it. We had to do a mesh orbital sling to support the eye since the orbital floor was gone. The mesh you see was used to reconstruct anterior maxillary wall to prevent face from “caving” in.
The tumor had extended into the left maxilla and was nearly occluding the nasopharynx.

For years, she suffered the stigma of a giant fibrous dysplasia of the right maxilla. She is so happy and beautiful now.
